AI mobile app wireframes, three layouts per screen.

Describe the app and the screen. Your agent sketches at least three phone-sized options in device frames, side by side, so you choose the structure before anyone designs it.

Updated · By Thijs Verreck

A mobile app wireframe is a low-fidelity sketch of a phone screen: what goes on it, in what order, and which action matters most, with no colors or polish. Small screens leave little room, so the hard decisions come early: what sits above the fold, what hides behind a tab or a sheet, and where the thumb reaches the main action. An AI wireframe generator lets you see several answers to those questions before you commit to one.

On Prototyper the agent draws each option in a hand-drawn kit inside a device frame, with realistic content instead of lorem ipsum, and labels what each option gains and costs.

Paste one into the chat, or pick Wireframe under “Start with a format” first. Each names the axis the options should differ on, which is what makes the options worth comparing.

Home screen of a habit tracker
Wireframe the home screen of a habit-tracking app on a phone. Give me three options that differ on navigation: a bottom tab bar, a single scrolling feed, and a card stack you swipe through.
Onboarding for a dog-walking app
Storyboard the first-run onboarding of a dog-walking app on mobile, from welcome to the first booked walk. Three options: a step-by-step wizard, a single long form, and asking for details only when needed.
Settings screen
Wireframe a settings screen for a banking app on mobile. Three options that differ on density: grouped lists, a search-first layout, and a short list with the rest behind "More".
Product detail page in a shopping app
Wireframe a product detail screen for a shopping app on a phone. Three options for where the "Add to bag" action lives: a sticky bottom bar, inline under the price, and a floating button.

How to wireframe a mobile app with AI

  1. 01

Name the screen and the job.

“The home screen of a habit tracker, where people check off today's habits.” Say it is for mobile, so every option is drawn in a phone frame.

  2. 02

Pick what the options should differ on.

Navigation, density, or where the primary action sits. If you leave it open, the agent proposes a few axes and asks which one to explore.

  3. 03

    Compare the sketches.

At least three options appear side by side, labelled 1a, 1b and 1c, each with short notes on its trade-offs.

  4. 04

    Iterate on one.

Use the suggested follow-ups, such as “add the empty state” or “make 1b a single scrolling screen”, or write your own.

  5. 05

    Build the winner.

Ask the agent to build the chosen option as a working screen. It appears next to the sketch on the canvas.

Why wireframe the app first

01

Small screens force choices

Three layouts side by side show what fits above the fold and what has to move.

02

Device frames keep it real

Every option is drawn at phone size, so nothing that only works on desktop slips in.

03

Cheap to throw away

Discarding two sketches costs nothing, so you can explore the risky idea too.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mobile app wireframe?
A low-fidelity sketch of a phone screen that shows its structure (content, order and the main action) without visual design.
Can it wireframe several screens of the same app?
Yes. Ask for a flow, such as onboarding or checkout, and each option comes back as a storyboard of its screens in phone frames, connected by arrows.
Why do the wireframes look hand-drawn?
So nobody mistakes them for finished design. A sketch keeps the review on structure and flow; colors and platform styling come later, when the chosen screen is built.
How many options will I get?
At least three per request, and up to five or six in a round if you ask.
Can I turn the wireframe into a working screen?
Yes. Ask the agent to build the option you picked, and the working screen appears next to the sketch on the same canvas.
