An AI UI generator that gives you screens, not pictures.

Describe an interface and an agent builds it as real React on a shared canvas. Try three layouts at once, point at what is wrong, and keep the one that works.

An AI UI generator creates user interface screens from a text prompt or a sketch. You describe the layout, the content and how it should behave, and AI produces the interface. The useful ones output working code, so buttons, forms and empty states behave the way they will in the finished product.

Prototyper is an AI prototyping tool for anything visual: your agents build running apps, wireframes and slide decks on a shared canvas with your team, from real design rules, not AI slop. For UI work, that means each screen is a running window on the canvas, and the design and the code are the same thing.

A brief on sticky notes and the onboarding screen built from it, with the agent's selection still on it.

Try this prompt

Paste one of these into the composer, or use it as a pattern: say what the screen is, what is on it, and the states it needs.

A settings page
Design a settings page with account, billing and team sections. Use a side nav on desktop and tabs on mobile.
A data-heavy table
Generate an orders table with search, status filters, sortable columns and row selection. Include the empty state.
Three layouts for one screen
Give me three takes on a pricing page: three plan cards, a comparison table, and a single plan with a seats slider. Same copy in each.
Restyle what you selected
Restyle the screen I selected: softer corners, one blue accent, roomier spacing. Keep the layout and the copy.

How to generate UI with AI

  1. 01

Say what the screen is for.

Name the screen, the content on it and the states it needs. Real labels beat placeholder text, because they show whether the layout holds up.

  2. 02

    Let the agent build it.

The screen appears as a window on the canvas, built in React, and works as soon as it compiles.

  3. 03

    Compare layouts side by side.

Ask for three takes on the same screen and look at them together. Picking between real options is faster than describing one.

  4. 04

    Point at what to change.

Select the part of the screen that is off and send it to the agent with a note. No paragraph of re-prompting needed.

Why generated UI should be code

A generated image of an interface looks finished and behaves like nothing. The gaps show up later: the label that wraps, the table with no empty state, the button nobody can tell is disabled. When the UI generator writes code, those gaps show up while you are still looking at the screen.

Code also means there is no handoff step where the design turns back into a ticket. The screen on the canvas is the screen. If you want to try it with users before you commit, the live preview runs it in the workspace.

Where to go next

Weighing your options

We compare Prototyper with v0, Lovable, Bolt and Figma Make on separate pages, each with its sources and the date we last checked them.

The short version

01

Screens that work

Generated UI is React, so forms, states and buttons behave like the real thing.

02

Layouts side by side

Ask for three takes and compare them on the canvas.

03

Steer by selecting

Point at the part that is wrong and tell the agent what to change.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI UI generator?
A tool that creates user interface screens from a text prompt or a sketch using AI. The useful ones output working code rather than an image, so the screen behaves the way it will in the product.
Does Prototyper generate images or code?
Code. Each screen is a React app that runs in a window on the canvas. You can click it, type into it, and open the source.
Can I generate several layouts at once?
Yes. Ask the agent for three takes on the same screen and they appear side by side on the canvas, so you can compare them and keep the one that works.
Can I use my own AI agent?
Yes. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents that speak MCP can connect to a workspace and build on the canvas, on the subscription you already have.
How does this compare with Figma Make?
We keep a sourced, dated comparison on our Prototyper vs Figma Make page. The short answer is that Prototyper is built around a shared canvas where your agent builds running screens and your team steers them by pointing.
